Psychological Experimentation and Testing
Many of the CIA and US human experiments involved psychological and/or physical torture. The CIA project MK Ultra, a project that was trying to reach goals of brain washing and mind control through substances and “psychic driving”. Psychic driving is very simple. Make your target mind bend to your will. Doctor Donald Ewen Cameron was head of the psychic driving project, with experiments being run primarily in Canada. Dr. Cameron was not aware that he was being funded by the CIA but continued on with his experiments none the less. LSD was one of the common psychotic drugs used in these experiments as well as electroconvulsive therapy at up to 40 times the normal safe power. Some subjects were then put into drug induced comas and were made to listen to tape loops. The tape loops played words, noises or simple phrases. These tapes were played for weeks on end. Most of the patients who endured these experiments were from mental institutions with minor anxiety or depression. The subjects were then permanently affected by the works of MK Ultra. Subjects had amnesia, incontinence, forgetting who their parents were and how to speak. Dr. Cameron at this time was the head of the American and Canadian psychiatric associations as well as the chairman of the World Psychiatric Association.
Physical Torture Experiments
Also during this time the CIA was experimenting with torture. Some of these experiments were reversed engineered to help CIA agents resist torture. Some of the many ways of torture used were sleep deprivation, cold cell (keeping the prisoners cell at about 10 degrees Celsius. The prisoner is then doused with water regularly), 20 hour long interrogations and other various ways of torture. Recently adults have filed lawsuits against the CIA for abducting victims as children and subjecting them to torture as well as sexual abuse. One child had to go through Nazi brainwashing techniques.
